White House Announces Expansion of Clean Hydrogen Investment, Jobs

LIUNA applauds President Biden and Energy Secretary Granholm’s announcement creating seven Clean Hydrogen Hubs with $7 billion in public investment from the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law. The announced projects in California, Washington, Minnesota, Texas, Pennsylvania, West Virginia, and Illinois will create tens of thousands of good jobs – including jobs for LIUNA members.

The President’s announcement in Philadelphia, introduced by LIUNA’s own Ryan Boyer, Business Manager of the Laborers' District Council of Philadelphia, Baltimore, Washington & Vicinity, underscores his commitment to creating opportunities in clean energy for working men and women.

The Philadelphia-based Mid-Atlantic Clean Hydrogen Hub (MACH2), which is among the several Hydrogen Hubs to be built by LIUNA members – will benefit from today’s announced investment.

LIUNA looks forward to continuing to work with the Administration to create good family-supporting jobs on innovative energy projects.
